rock of ages

Roll me over sound of stone,
slowly closing even fill.
Everything seems fixed until
the source of all is known.

Cloth of calling far from home,
barefoot on your hallowed ground.
Tolerate this ramble round,
in skin and marrowed bone.

Soak me through like driving rain
wash this weight of world off me.
As a fish I breath in Thee,
nor will return again.
